Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Economic Survey 2025 in Parliament on Friday, just a day before Budget 2025. The Economic Survey prominently emphasized the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to increase productivity. The survey said that the inclusion of artificial intelligence will improve the quality of the labor market, which will increase productivity and create jobs.

Presenting the Economic Survey, the Finance Minister said that AI integration provides an opportunity to increase productivity, enhance the quality of the workforce, and create jobs, provided the challenges are addressed effectively through strong infrastructure.

The Economic Survey emphasized that India has a youth population and can transition to new trends with ease. India being a service economy, such a population can contribute to India's development through AI integration. Not only will AI integration boost India's economy, but even enable an improvement in labor market quality.

The Economic Survey also touched upon prominently highlighting skill development and education in a bid to boost the labor market's quality. As per the survey, with a high prioritization of AI in skill development and education, India can make its youth future-fit for future times. All such youth will become future-qualified and will contribute to national development, according to the survey. As per the survey, the labor market is witnessing growth through rapid post-pandemic recovery and formalization.

The 2025 budget will be tabled in Parliament at 11 am on Saturday, February 1, by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Nirmala Sitharaman will present her eighth budget. She will follow six annual and two budgeted budgets placed in Parliament, previously, in front of him
