FinTech Fest: Commerce Secretary Rajesh Agarwal stated that India's fintech exports could grow from $8 billion to $60-80 billion. Digital infrastructure, e-commerce exports, and FTAs will play a key role in this.
There is a tremendous potential for India’s exports of fintech solutions to expand tenfold. According to Commerce Secretary Rajesh Agarwal, it was announced during the Global Fintech Fest 2026. It has been said that from the current $8 billion, the figure could expand to $60-80 billion.
Aggarwal said that there is a great opportunity for India to use its digital backbone, technological advancements, and fintech solutions in the global market. India’s ability to provide financial services is described by Aggarwal as a solid base. Fintech is very essential in solving the global challenges of emerging economies. Proper coordination between the government, regulators, fintech startups, financial firms, and partner countries will be key in exploiting this opportunity.
Fintech is increasingly becoming an important component of India’s foreign policy. This is being seen through export credit cards for e-commerce exports. The Commerce Ministry is trying to find fintech firms and startups who develop short-term credit solutions using technology.
