Fly Bharathi Aviation Signs Rs.750 Crore MoU with Madhya Pradesh Government to develop an Airport in Ujjain

New Delhi [India], March 7: Fly Bharathi Aviation and Aeronautics Private Limited, a pioneering company in India’s aviation sector, has taken a significant step towards enhancing air connectivity in Madhya Pradesh. At the Global Investment Summit organized by the Government of Madhya Pradesh, the company, led by Girish Pillai, Managing Director, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) expressing its interest in investing ₹750 crore with an intent to develop Airport at Ujjain, and/or at other strategic location of the State of Madhya Pradesh.

This ambitious investment is set to revolutionize connectivity for millions, particularly benefitting the lakhs of travellers and pilgrims who visit Ujjain, one of India’s most revered religious destinations. In FY 2023-24, the city welcomed 5.28 crore tourists, a number projected to rise significantly in the coming years, especially following the development of Mahakal Lok, which has further boosted religious tourism.
