Ola Electric Sales Crash 71% YoY; After-Sales Issues Blamed for Massive Decline

Electric two-wheelers have been gaining immense momentum in India lately. And leading the charge has been Ola Electric. The firm had secured a tight foothold with the Ola S1 range of electric scooters and the Ola Roadster electric motorcycle. The November 2025 sales report has been a surprise, though, as Ola Electric has slipped to 5th position on the back of a huge decline. The growing user backlash on social media is being cited as the primary reason for this.

The growing dissatisfaction with the company is being blamed on its after-sales service and product quality. Thousands of users have continuously complained on social media. Such complaints include long repair times, poor customer support, questions surrounding the quality and structural stability of the scooters, and manufacturing quality issues. These complaints began to surface in late 2023 and became more severe by October 2024. The growing dissatisfaction is now clearly impacting both the company's reputation and sales.

While Ola Electric remained the top seller in 2024 and early 2025 despite these controversies and complaints, the situation has changed in recent months. In November 2025, the company's sales declined by 71% year-over-year. The company sold only 8,400 units that month. Due to the decline in sales, Ola Electric was overtaken by Hero Vida, and the company slipped to fifth place. This decline clearly illustrates how important user experience and product quality are in today's market.
