7eventzz- the Startup Story

7eventzz came to being quite unexpectedly. Vishal and Harsha, still completing their CA, had a successful social media presence called Asian Weddingz. The Instagram page was highly popular and had about 180k followers. The duo had posted a random decor shot on the page when people began admiring it and inquiring about rates. This led the duo to create a new page called “7eventzz,” where they began uploading random decorating photographs and received inquiries from all over India.

At that time India faced COVID outburst and lockdown was prevailed all over the country. So, people started celebrating their birthdays at their home. This is what worked for them like magic. They faced huge surge of balloon decoration order and it clicked into their minds that this could be the idea to build a strong business upon it. 

Get to Know the Founders

They say no dream is too big to achieve. 7eventzz was created by two old friends and associates: Vishal Gupta and Harsha Kedia when they were only 21 and still pursuing their CA. And yes, 7eventzz is a product of their time during their CA years. Today, Vishal’s responsibilities include marketing and developing the organization’s future growth strategy while Harsha looks after managing vendors, all operations, products and customer service. Though it was a big step leaving behind their finance backgrounds, but it was a successful one because now 7eventzz has 7 employees, 10+ freelancers, and hundreds of vendors across India that contribute to the success of the firm.

Hassle before the Height 

Not all business come to existence and reach it’s zenith on the next day. You have to experience failure, dust up your dejection, and buckle up to start from the beginning again. That’s what they did.   Before 7eventzz, the duo had experienced a failed business called Ohhjee.com, a vendor aggregation platform that was also an event planning website. They put around 2 lakhs into the business, but it flopped miserably. They were 21 at the time and had no understanding of how the business worked. The failure did not stop them from trying again for their dream. However, even if the business had failed, Vishal and Harsha now had relationships with decorators all over India. Afterward, the duo established a modest office near their house with only 4 employees, and 7eventzz started to grow from there.

From Birthday Decoration, Anniversary Decoration, Baby Shower Decoration, Bride to be Decoration, Room Decoration and a lot more. Initially, 7eventzz would get 1-2 bookings per day on Instagram. After creating their own user-friendly website, the number reached 7-8 bookings every day. Today, it has grown to 30 to 40 bookings and 7eventzz aims for 100+ bookings per day, in this coming year 2023. Within 1.5 years of operations, it has surpassed $4 million in revenue. Organic website traffic has surpassed 100,000 within a year of the website’s introduction. Not only that, 7eventzz has 125 k organic followers on Instagram, and almost 800 k subscribers on YouTube. Taking customer reviews, the company has updated its website to include new features, cities, and products and services. 7eventzz has a committed team of decorating experts that provide all services under one roof.
