BMW M2 CS introduced with powerful engine and great design, will be the last small sports car with petrol engine

BMW launched the new BMW M2 CS at the 2025 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. It is a unique edition of the small sports car M2, which is light and powerful. Meanwhile, this will likely be the final small sports car of BMW, which will only be offered with a petrol engine without a hybrid or electric system.

The BMW M2 CS will feature the same 3.0-liter, twin-turbo 6-cylinder fuel engine, which will be generating 530 horsepower and 650 Newton-meters of torque, though it will be generating 50 horsepower and 100 Newton-meters less than the M2. It will be fitted with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The M2 will be equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission, about which the company claims that it is not suitable for much torque. The car goes from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.8 seconds.

The new BMW M2 CS has slight changes in the grille and bumper at the front, so that the engine can get more air. It has new light alloy wheels, which are golden in color. A ducktail spoiler has been given at the rear, which will help in keeping the car stable at high speeds. It also has a large rear diffuser. It will be offered in four color options: Black Sapphire, Portimao Blue, Brooklyn Gray, and Velvet Blue.

Talking about its interior, the M2 CS has carbon bucket seats, which enhance its sporty look. It has a touch of carbon fiber in many places. Features like a heated steering wheel, 3-zone climate control, a head-up display, and a Harman Kardon sound system will be seen in it.

The weight of the M2 CS has been kept 30 kg less than the regular M2. To reduce weight, carbon-fiber roof and boot lid have been used in it. Along with stiffening its engine mounts, springs, and dampers have also been tuned in a special way. Its steering, brakes, and differential have also been updated.
