The Bangladesh-A and New Zealand-A played the first unofficial ODI match on Monday at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium at Sylhet in Bangladesh. The match featured the New Zealand-A team winning the toss against the home team Bangladesh-A and opting to bat. Batting first, the New Zealand-A team was dismissed for 147 runs in 34.3 overs, Bangladesh-A team responded by reaching the target by scoring 149 runs in 27.2 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. Thus, the match was won by Bangladesh-A by 7 wickets.

New Zealand-A team did not enjoy good quality cricket at the beginning against Bangladesh-A. Its 5 batsmen Dale Phillips, Matthew Boyle, Muhammad Abbas, team captain Nick Kelly and Christian Clarke were not able to open their account. Not only them, three batsmen Josh Clarkson (7), Mitchell Hay (4), Jaden Lennox (9) were not able to reach the double digit mark, but Ben Lister stayed not out after playing 4 runs. The most runs were scored by Foxcroft of New Zealand. In 64 balls, he played 72 runs with 4 fours and six sixes. Except him, opener Rise Mariu played 42 runs with 7 fours in 51 balls.
