Asus has launched two new gaming smartphones globally under the ROG Series. Both these phones have a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and AMOLED display. Also, they have a 50MP primary camera. They also have a 32MP camera for selfies. Also, both these phones come with an IP68-rated build.

The Taiwanese smartphone brand, Asus is launching the latest gaming smartphone, Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro and ROG Phone 9 on Tuesday. The new ROG phone lineup has a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor with up to 24GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. This new Asus ROG Phone 9 series has an IP68-rated build and AMOLED display. A triple camera setup has been given in the rear of these phones. Its primary camera is a 50-megapixel Sony Lytia 700 sensor.

The Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro is priced at EUR 1,200, or approximately Rs. 1,00,000 for the storage option of 16GB+512GB. Asus Phone 9 has a starting price of EUR 1,099 or approximately Rs. 98,000 at the moment for the 12GB+256GB variant. As per the listings, the Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro Edition will cost EUR 1,500 or approximately Rs. 1,33,000 for 24GB+1TB.

While the Asus ROG Phone 9 is available in both Phantom Black and Storm White finishes, the Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro Edition and ROG Phone 9 Pro are only available in Storm White finishes.

The Asus ROG Phone 9 series phones are both dual SIM (Nano) running with Android 15-based ROG UI and a 6.78-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,400 pixels) Samsung AMOLED LTPO display featuring a refresh rate of 165Hz, HDR10 support. Further support for the display includes Always-On support and a peak brightness of up to 2,500 units. Additionally, the screen has protection by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

These phones are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. The Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro Edition packs up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS4.0 storage. On the other hand, the regular model and ROG 9 Pro provide up to 16GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. These also come with the ROG GameCool 9 cooling system of the company for heat dissipation.

The rear camera setup design is triple for photos and videos, comprising a 50-megapixel Sony Lytia 700 1/1.56-inch sensor with an f1/9 aperture and a 13-megapixel ultra wide-angle camera. To mention, the ROG Phone 9 Pro has packed a 32-megapixel sensor supporting OIS and 3x optical zoom as well, whereas the brand packed a 5-megapixel macro camera on the regular ROG Phone 9.

Besides this, both ROG Phone 9 and ROG Phone 9 Pro phones sport an RGBW camera with 32 megapixels on the front of the device. The Camera unit supports several AI capabilities such as AI Object Sense, AI HyperClarity, and much more. Both the Asus ROG Phone 9 and ROG Phone 9 Pro have support from a 5,800mAh battery unit and come with 65W wired charging and support for 15W wireless charging. According to the company, with this fast charging, the telephone is able to be charged from 0 to 100 percent in 46 minutes. Both the phones incorporate an IP68-rated build for dust and water resistance.
