Q2 Results: Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) on Tuesday reported a 28% year-on-year increase in its consolidated net profit for the September quarter to ₹644 crore. Total income declined to ₹3,249 crore in the September quarter, compared to ₹3,396 crore in the same quarter a year ago.

Adani Energy's net profit went up 28% to ₹644 crore during the second quarter compared to ₹515 crore in the April-June period of the previous year. The company's power supply revenue rose to ₹2,776 crore from ₹2,308 crore in the second quarter of the previous year.

Total income reduced to ₹3,249 crore during the September quarter from ₹3,396 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Total expenses were ₹2,874 crore, down from ₹2,857 crore in the second quarter of FY2025.

In a separate statement, Adani Green Energy CEO Ashish Khanna said, "We are making steady progress in the development of our largest 30 GW renewable energy plant in Khavda, Gujarat. We are continuously adopting innovative renewable technologies and digitizing more and more aspects of our business to boost operational efficiency, project execution, and safety."

As of September 30, the company said its operating capacity had increased by 49 percent to 16.7 GW, moving towards achieving the 50 GW target. Energy sales from hybrid, wind, and solar power increased by 39 percent to 19,569 million units compared to 14,128 million units in the same period last year. AGEL added 2,437 MW of greenfield capacity in the first half of FY26, accounting for 74 percent of the capacity addition in the entire FY25.

The company said, "With robust manpower deployment, a localized supply chain, and advanced technologies such as robotic solar module installation, AGEL is on track to achieve 30 GW of RE capacity at Khavda by 2029, setting a global benchmark for speed of execution at such a large scale."

Last year, greenfield capacity was added to 5,496 MW, including 4,200 MW of solar capacity (2,900 MW at Khavda in Gujarat, 1,050 MW in Rajasthan, and 250 MW in Andhra Pradesh); 491 MW of wind capacity at Khavda; and 805 MW of solar-wind hybrid capacity at Khavda.
