If you too want a heavy megapixel lens along with your mobile, then very soon your wish will be fulfilled. Samsung is now working on such a phone in which a 500-megapixel camera will be provided. Earlier, Samsung had provided a 200-megapixel camera in its phone. In the upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra too, there will be a 200-megapixel camera.

According to a new report, South Korean company Samsung is preparing to bring a big change in camera technology with a 500-megapixel sensor, although it is not yet clear which model of the Galaxy will be introduced with a 500-megapixel camera. Apart from this, Samsung is reportedly developing a three-layer image stacked sensor for the iPhone. This new sensor will be more advanced than the existing Sony Exmor RS image sensor, which is currently used in Apple iPhone models.

Tipster Jukanlosreve (@Jukanlosreve) claimed on X (formerly Twitter) that Samsung is working on a 500-megapixel camera sensor for Galaxy devices. Also, the company is developing a three-layer stacked image sensor in PD-TR-Logic configuration for Apple. The iPhone 18 series to be launched in 2026 could be the first Apple phone to use Samsung camera sensors.
