WhatsApp launched a feature called Safety Overview; Know details
WhatsApp has launched a new feature called Safety Overview for the safety of users. This feature will give information about groups added by unknown persons and will also give safety tips to avoid them. Through this feature, users can exit the group without seeing the chat and can decide whether they want to remain in the group or not.

WhatsApp has added a new feature to improve user safety. The feature named 'Safety Overview' will notify you if a person like this adds you to an unfamiliar WhatsApp group, not in the contact list of your mobile phone.
This Meta-owned internet messaging service has taken this new step as a bid to halt fraud and scams. Through 'Safety Overview', users will not only receive comprehensive information about unknown groups but will also gain safety tips to avoid such groups.
According to WhatsApp, 'This will help you decide whether you want to stay in the group or leave it. You can exit the group without seeing the chat. If you can identify the group after seeing the 'Safety Overview', then you can choose to see more contacts for the chat.'
The special thing is that during this time, no notification from the group will bother you again and again. This will happen until you decide whether you want to stay in the group or leave it. Meta's messaging platform said that it is looking for new ways to alert users, so that those users can be warned when chatting with an unknown person who is not in the contact list of their mobile phone. This can enable them to make the right decision.
WhatsApp said that this step is also being taken to thwart the efforts of scam centers. Such centers are being operated by organized crime gangs in Southeast Asia. In an effort to protect people from scams, WhatsApp and Meta's security teams identified and blocked nearly 68 lakh accounts linked to scam centres during the first six months of this year.
