India's Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand performed excellently and advanced to the round of 16 in the women's doubles at the Swiss Open 2025 badminton tournament. In the Tuesday match, the ninth-seeded Indian pair defeated Switzerland's Aline Muller and Netherlands' Kelly van Buiten duo with ease, winning the game 21-16, 21-17 in a 32-minute contest to advance to the next round.

In the second round, the Indian pair will face Germany's Celine Hubsch and Emily Lehman. India's Priya Konjengbam-Shruti Mishra pairing, meanwhile, went down to Turkey's world number 61 pairing Nazlican Inci and Bengisu Ercetin 21-11, 21-19, and Varshini Vishwanath Sri-Aarti Sara Sunil went down to Netherlands' Deborah Zille and Denmark shuttler Sara Thygesen 21-13, 21-13.

Meanwhile, Indian shuttlers Ayush Shetty and S Shankar Muthusamy Subramaniam booked their places in the men's singles main draw of the BWF Super 300 tournament with impressive performances in the qualifiers. Ayush Shetty defeated Cholan Kayne of England 21-12, 21-15 in a 42-minute game in his qualifying opener. The Indian shuttler subsequently defeated France's world number 400 Raphael Gavios in a quick 23-minute game, 21-6, 21-8, to move to the Round of 32, where he faces Japan's 2018 Jakarta Asian Games bronze medallist Kenta Nishimoto.

Muthusamy defeated England shuttler Yuhang Wang 21-13, 21-4 in the first round and then defeated compatriot Tharun Mannepalli 21-7, 21-10 in his final qualifier. Muthusamy will face Denmark's Magnus Johansson in the first round of the main draw. HS Prannoy, Priyanshu Rajawat, and Kiran George have already entered the main draw.

Former world number one Kidambi Srikanth, who was initially scheduled to play in the qualifiers, was later promoted to the main draw after Lakshya Sen's late withdrawal from the men's singles. Srikanth will face compatriot Prannoy in an all-Indian round of 32 clash.

Similarly, Isharani Barua will face fellow Indian shuttler Aakarshi Kashyap, who has qualified for the main draw after beating French opponent Rosy Octavia Pankasari 21-16, 21-11. In mixed doubles, Ayush Aggarwal and Shruti Mishra won their qualifiers to make it to the main draw. PV Sindhu will begin her campaign on Wednesday.
