In the press conference after the match, Dinesh Karthik was asked whether this was your last IPL match at MA Chidambaram Stadium (Chepauk)? On this Dinesh Karthik said, actually I also want that this should not be the last, because playoffs and some knockouts can happen here. I hope I can come back and this could be the last one. But, yes... I think this is the last one.
The first match of IPL 2024 was played between CSK and RCB at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. In this match, RCB captain Faf Du Plessis won the toss and decided to bat first. Based on the brilliant innings of Anuj Rawat and Dinesh Karthik, RCB scored 173 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs. But, CSK achieved the target and won with the loss of 4 wickets in 18.4 overs.
