Company employees' data was exposed due to a hack in the Pokémon game server

Pokémon creator Game Freak confirmed that there has been a data breach and subsequent internet leaks of compromised information. According to the company, there was a cyberattack in August on its servers. According to a statement, the hacker obtained access to 2,606 items, including the email addresses and identities of contract, current, and past employees. About other information that was posted online, including details about the company's next project, the company did not say anything.

The company would not comment on other information that was shared online, which also includes information regarding the company's upcoming projects.

Contacting the affected people individually to inform them, Game Freak promised that security would be high and hackers of this kind would not happen again. "We sincerely apologize to all concerned for this inconvenience and concern," it explained.
