Tata Curvv Dark Edition launched, know the features and changes
Tata Curvv Dark Edition: Tata Curv made headlines for its coupe-SUV body style at the time of launch. Now its dark edition has been launched. Tata Motors is continuously advancing its Dark Edition series.

Tata Motors keeps updating its Dark Series. The company had previously introduced dark versions of SUVs such as Harrier, Safari, Nexon, and Punch, among which electric models of Nexon and Punch are also available in this special series. Now there is a new addition to the series, Tata Curvv Dark Edition.
Tata Curvv Dark Edition has been priced from around Rs 16.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Notably, its launch has coincided with just a few days of the launch of Citroen Basalt Dark Edition, because of which it has entered directly into competition. The Curvv Dark Edition has its foundation in the company's two higher variants - Accomplished S and Accomplished +A.
The Curv Dark Edition focuses mostly on its look and styling. As the name suggests, this SUV has been introduced in an all-black theme. It has a glossy black grille, black alloy wheels, roof rails, and a tinted windscreen. The headlights and taillights have a smoked effect, which gives it an even sportier look.
Along with this, there will be an LED light strip, shark fin antenna, and sloping roofline like a coupe, making it unique from others. There will be the Dark Edition badge also installed in the rear, making it distinguishable from the standard model. However, there are no changes made in the design framework.
Curv Dark Edition cabin too will be an all-black one. Black leatherette has been provided on the upholstery of the seats and door trims, giving it a premium touch.
Speaking of the features, they will include features such as a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10.25-inch digital driver screen, a 9-speaker JBL audio system, panoramic sunroof, front ventilated seats, 6-way power driver seat, rear reclining seats, air purifier, automatic climate control and wireless phone charging.
There is no compromise in terms of safety as well. It has 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), electronic parking brake (with auto hold), front and rear parking sensors, and Level-2 ADAS (advanced driver assistance system).
The Tata Curve Dark Edition is offered in two engine options petrol and diesel. The petrol version gets a 1.2-litre turbocharged Hyperion engine. This engine produces 123 bhp of power and 225 Nm of torque. The diesel version gets a 1.5-litre engine, which generates 116 bhp of power and 260 Nm of torque. Both engines will have the option of a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
Apart from the ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) version, the Tata Curvv Dark Edition will also be launched in a fully electric version in the coming time. It will have two battery options - 45kWh and 55kWh. It is claimed that the EV model will be able to cover a distance of 505 to 585 km on a single charge. This version will be based on the top-spec Empowered + trim.
