Shubman Gill's batting record are shocking in SENA countries

Indian young batsman Shubman Gill has not been able to score well so far in the five-Test Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) being played between India and Australia. Gill has been playing at number 3 in place of veteran batsman Cheteshwar Pujara for some time now, but he has not been that successful.

Gill has been struggling in Test cricket outside Asia for some time. Gill's record in SENA countries is so bad that even fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar has scored more runs than him.

During this, he has scored 319 runs in Australia, 88 in England, and 74 in South Africa. On the other hand, Bhuvneshwar Kumar has made 398 runs in 16 innings of 8 matches in the SENA countries at an average of 30.61. During this, 3 half-centuries came off his bat. He has scored 247 runs against England, 101 for South Africa, and 50 for Australia.

If we look at Gill's performances in this series going with Australia, he scored 60 runs in three innings of two matches at a modest average of 20. Gill could not take part in the first Test of this series being played in Perth. Following this, Gill scored 31 and 28 runs in both innings of the Pink Ball Test that took place in Adelaide. Meanwhile, he was out after scoring 1 run in the first innings at Gaba.
