Security agencies alert bomb threats to more than 30 planes; Emergency landing of Air India plane in Jaipur
On Saturday, there was a stir due to bomb threats in more than 30 planes across the country. Security agencies have become alert after receiving these continuous threats. On the other hand, after receiving the bomb threat, an Air India Express flight was made to make an emergency landing in Jaipur. After this, the plane was thoroughly checked. Planes of many airlines including Indigo have received this threat.
Bomb threats in aircraft are still being received. Bomb threats were sent to over 30 Indian Airlines aircraft on Saturday. These ongoing threats have security agencies in a state of alert. The airport has strict security measures.
The report indicates that threats have been made against the aircraft of Air India, Indigo, Akasa Air, Vistara, SpiceJet, Star Air, and Alliance Air. Some of these aircraft also needed to make an emergency landing. Among the flights that were threatened were those operated by Vistara from Udaipur to Mumbai, Indigo from Delhi and Mumbai to Istanbul, and Jodhpur to Delhi.
Early on Saturday morning, the Air India Express flight from Dubai to Jaipur made an emergency landing at the airport. Investigation, however, revealed that the bomb threat was a rumour. The aircraft carried 189 passengers in total. However, a Vistara flight from Delhi to London was threatened with a bomb. The flight was then diverted to Frankfurt. The jet has been sent to London after the required security checks.
According to the airline representative, a bomb threat was sent via social media on October 18 to an aircraft from Delhi to London. The flight was then rerouted to Frankfurt as a precaution after the authorities were notified.
On Friday, Akasa Air was again threatened with a bomb. According to the airline, an aircraft (QP 1366) from Bengaluru to Mumbai was threatened on Friday. After this, every passenger was taken off the aircraft and examined in accordance with security procedures. Additionally, the airline expressed regret to the travelers for the inconvenience.
Threats were made against Indigo's flights from Delhi to Istanbul and Mumbai to Istanbul. A security notice has also been out for the flight from Jodhpur to Delhi. The aircraft touched down in Delhi. An investigation was conducted after this. However, a threat was also received by the Vistara Airlines flight from Mumbai to Udaipur. After landing, the aircraft was carefully inspected at the Mumbai airport.
About 40 flights have received bomb threats in the last several days. Nevertheless, further inquiry revealed them all to be fraudulent. However, these dangers force the cancellation and diverting of flights. Passengers experience a lot of difficulties as a result.
Now the Civil Aviation Ministry is preparing to take strict action. According to Jagran, the person giving the bomb threat can be put on the no-fly list. If this happens, the accused will not be able to fly in the flight.
