Royal Challengers Bangalore Begin Title Defence as Virat Kohli Sends Strong Message
Royal Challengers Bangalore, IPL 2026, Virat Kohli: Virat Kohli has created a stir in the RCB camp ahead of the start of IPL 2026. He warned the defending champions, "Don't waste even a minute." Find out who the Under-19 stars coach Andy Flower is eyeing.
The defending champions of the Indian Premier League, RCB, have started their training camp at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. In the first training session, the former skipper Virat Kohli made it clear what he wanted from the players. He asked the players to forget the win they got last year and “switch on” this year.
Kohli said, "We have worked very hard to achieve the position we have achieved in the last 2-3 years." This time the challenge will be even tougher, as other teams will try their best to defeat us. We mustn't waste a single day. Don't waste a minute of any session we're in. We must give our best for the next two and a half months.
This season, some notable new faces are visible in the RCB camp. Head coach Andy Flower expressed confidence in the team selected at the auction and welcomed the new players. While the team boasts experienced names like Venkatesh Iyer, Jordan Cox, and Jitesh Sharma, the coach has also invested in young talent.
