Indian Railways has launched its new RailOne app on Tuesday. This super app has been launched by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav. The user will be provided with amenities through this app, as it will have all the public services of the Railways under one roof. It will provide things like ticket booking, show ticket PNR status, cancellation of ticket, and ordering train food. The app can be accessed on iOS and Android systems. The app was launched in a beta version in February with the name of the SwaRail app, and now its full version has emerged.
RailOne app has been developed by the technology branch of Railways, the Center for Railway Information System (CRIS). This app is available for free download on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
Main facilities:
- Reserved and unreserved ticket booking.
- Platform ticket booking.
- Checking PNR status.
- Information about coach position at railway station.
- Freight and parcel delivery inquiry.
Through RailOne app, users will get live status of the train, arrival time, delay information, and other important updates. This will enable passengers to plan their journey in a better way. Through RailOne app, passengers can also avail Rail Madad service. Through this, passengers can register their complaint and track its status. Also, there is an option to give feedback in the app. The RailOne app also provides the facility to order food in the train during the journey. Passengers can book their favorite food from partner vendors through the app.
If the journey is cancelled or missed due to any reason, passengers can request a refund directly from the RailOne app. It also has the facility of R-Wallet, which makes payment even easier.
The RailOne app has multilingual support. It also has a Single Sign-On (SSO) system, through which users can login to other railway apps like IRCTC RailConnect and UTS Mobile App using their RailOne credentials. It also has the option of biometric authentication or m-PIN for login.
