New Delhi (India), September 12: P. V. Prabhakar Rao, the youngest son of former Indian Prime Minister P. V. Narasimha Rao, defies the stereotypes associated with political families. Despite his illustrious lineage, he exudes simplicity and approachability, challenging preconceptions about high-profile politicians’ offspring.
Prabhakar Rao’s journey began with an engineering degree from the prestigious College of Engineering, Guindy, Chennai, in 1977. Even during his college days, he showcased leadership qualities by being elected as the Union Leader and was a prominent Youth Congress Leader in Chennai. His prowess in debating and independent leadership skills earned him recognition.
In a departure from the trend of pursuing foreign education, Prabhakar Rao chose to remain in India. In 1978, armed with a modest capital of Rs. 9000, he embarked on an entrepreneurial journey. In 1984, he founded Sinclaire Infratech, which initially focused on producing consumer durables under the Sinclaire brand. With the liberalization of India’s telecom sector in 1991, the company diversified into telecom products.
