Prime Volleyball League: Ahmedabad Defenders register a spectacular win against Kolkata Thunderbolts

Current champion Ahmedabad Defenders has registered a spectacular victory in the third season of Prime Volleyball League in the match played at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium on Sunday. Ahmedabad Defenders won three consecutive sets to defeat Season 1 winners Kolkata Thunderbolts 3-0 (15-13, 15-9, 15-6). Nand Gopal of Ahmedabad Defenders was adjudged player of the match.

Under the leadership of Muthusamy, Ahmedabad defenders started the match with excellent passing. Max Senika and Nanda got Ahmedabad Defenders off to a great start with solid spikes. After this, with the continuous attacks of Vineet Kumar, Kolkata Thunderbolts maintained themselves in the match.

At the same time, on the strength of middle blocker Ashwal Rai, the Kolkata team tried to take the lead in the match, but some unwanted mistakes of Kolkata Thunderbolts pushed the team back in the match.
