Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the maiden speech by nominated member of the Rajya Sabha C. Sadananda Master, who lost his legs in political violence in Kerala.
The Prime Minister sent a letter to Sadananda, a former teacher, to boost his morale, as he narrated the horrific incident that occurred to him by showing his prosthetic limbs in Parliament. Although the incident is blamed on left-wing activists, without naming any party, the PM wrote, "Today, this degenerate ideology has shrunk considerably, and you are sitting proudly in Parliament."
In the letter, PM Modi wrote, "You presented your views calmly and confidently. Although relatively new to Parliament, you bring with you a lifetime of service and commitment to the ideology of 'nation first.' When I heard your speech, I sensed moral strength and conviction in your words. Your courage was widely discussed in Kerala."
