OnePlus Unveils Specs of Upcoming 5G Device: 165Hz AMOLED, Snapdragon 8 Elite, 7,800mAh Battery

OnePlus is planning to launch a stunning 5G smartphone next week. The company has already announced some of the handset's specifications. It has been confirmed that the device will feature a 165Hz AMOLED display, providing a smooth scrolling experience. The phone will also feature an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner for biometrics. Furthermore, this OnePlus device will also feature a powerful 7800mAh battery, making it a large-capacity smartphone.

OnePlus has described this impressive device as an ultra-performance flagship and revealed some of its specifications in a post on the Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo. The company has stated that the device will support a variable refresh rate of up to 165Hz, allowing the phone to support refresh rates of 60Hz, 90Hz, 120Hz, 144Hz, and 165Hz. However, it will feature a flat AMOLED screen with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

This OnePlus device features a metallic flame. It also boasts IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. Furthermore, the handset will feature a large 7,800mAh battery, making it the largest in its segment. Moreover, the phone will also support 120W fast charging. However, no information has been provided about wireless charging support yet.

The company has already teased some color variants of the phone, which revealed that the device will come in three colors: Black, Flash White, and Silver. The phone will weigh 213 grams. The listing also reveals that the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which is also found in the current flagship OnePlus 13. The phone is expected to be priced around ₹40,000. The phone will launch on October 27 at 4:30 PM IST.
