Now Gemini AI will automatically summarize emails; Know details
Google Gemini: Last year, Google added Gemini to Gmail and provided a facility in which users could open an email or thread and tap on the “Summarize this email” button to get a short summary of that email. This was especially helpful in understanding long conversations on mobile screens.

Google is now making its AI tool Gemini smarter. Recently, the company has made the summary of the email automatically visible in the Gmail app, particularly in the long emails that are threads or reply messages. Google introduced Gemini in Gmail service a year ago and included a feature where the user could open the email or the thread and click the “Summarize this email” button to receive a summary of the email.
Now, as the May 29 announcement suggested, Gemini will determine when it would be beneficial to display the summary. When there is a long email thread or several responses, Gmail will automatically display a summary above the email text. If a summary doesn't appear automatically, users can still use the "Summarize this email" button or the Gemini sidebar.
This feature is currently only available in the Gmail apps for Android and iOS. Only working in the English language. This feature will be available to Google Workspace users, Google One AI Premium subscribers, Gemini Education, and Gemini Education Premium customers. It is being rolled out gradually, so not all users will see this feature immediately.
