Serbian tennis legend Novak Djokovic beat Spanish player Pedro Martinez at the Australian Open on Monday to achieve his 100th victory. Former world number one tennis player Djokovic produced an incredible display to register his 100th victory with a 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 victory.

Djokovic is now looking to beat Roger Federer's record of 102 victories at the tournament. Djokovic is a 10-time champion at the Australian Open. After the match, Djokovic said, "What can I say? I'm thrilled to hear that. It's great to score a century." He added, "I was very fortunate early on to have some people who taught and guided me to be a long-distance runner, not to tire quickly, and to have as long a career as possible. I'm lucky to still be playing at this level."

Djokovic now has 100 or more wins at the Australian Open, Wimbledon, and Roland Garros, making him the only player to achieve this feat at three different major tournaments. With this win, Djokovic advances to the second round of his 19th consecutive Australian Open. He will face 23-year-old Italian qualifier Francesco Maestrelli. The debutant defeated Terrence Atman 6-4, 3-6, 6-7(4), 6-1, 6-1 to secure his first victory at a major tournament.
