The Vande Bharat Sleeper Express, starting service next week, will not provide Reservation Against Cancellation (RAC). Ticket prices for this train are slightly higher than those for other premium services like the Rajdhani Express. Passengers will pay the minimum fare for journeys up to 400 kilometers.

A circular from the Railway Board states, "The minimum chargeable distance will be 400 kilometers. Only confirmed tickets will be issued for this train. There will be no RAC, waiting list, or partially confirmed tickets. All berths will be available from the start of the Advance Reservation Period (ARP)."

  • The minimum fare will be based on a distance of 400 kilometers.
  • Like other trains, the Vande Bharat Sleeper will have quotas for women, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and senior citizens.
  • VIP quotas will not be available on this train.
  • Quotas for duty passes for employees will be maintained.

Fares will be ₹2.4 per km for 3AC, ₹3.1 per km for 2AC, and ₹3.8 per km for First AC. Therefore, for distances up to 400 km, the minimum fares will be ₹960 for 3AC, ₹1,240 for 2AC, and ₹1,520 for 1AC. GST will be applied separately.

For the 1,000 km route from Howrah to Guwahati, fares will be ₹2,400 for 3AC, ₹3,100 for 2AC, and ₹3,800 for First AC. For 2,000 km, fares will be ₹4,800 for 3AC, ₹6,200 for 2AC, and ₹7,600 for 1AC.
