Nita Ambani Awarded KISS Humanitarian Honour for Education, Women Empowerment
Nita Ambani, Founder of Reliance Foundation, was honored with the KISS Humanitarian Award 2025. Her contributions to education, health, and women's empowerment have been recognized nationwide and internationally, and she received a grand welcome at the KIIT-KISS campus.
Nita Ambani, the founder and chairperson of the Reliance Foundation, has received the prestigious KISS Humanitarian Award 2025 from the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS). The recognition is for her contributions to social development, education, health, helping the rural sector, women empowerment, and sports.
The recognition ceremony was conducted by Sri Lankan Nobel laureate Mohan Munasinghe. The ceremony was attended by Achyuta Samanta, the founder of KIIT, KISS, and KIMS.
Accepting the award, Nita Ambani said that KIIT and KISS are two modern educational institutions that the country is proud of. Addressing 40,000 students, she said, "I will never forget the love and affection you have given me. This honor belongs not just to me, but to the entire Reliance Foundation team."

Inspiring the students, she said, "There is no difference between boys and girls. Whatever boys can do, girls can also do.
This is just the beginning, not the final goal. Dream big and work hard and dedicatedly to achieve them.
Never give up on the path of dharma and morality. I see a bright future for India when I see the children at KISS."
Created in 2008, this award honors individuals and organizations worldwide who contribute to humanitarian causes. The award includes a citation scroll and a gold-plated trophy. The trophy symbolizes the golden heart of humanity and demonstrates how dedicated efforts can transform the lives of the underprivileged.
KIIT University also honored Nita Ambani with an honorary doctorate (D.Litt. Honoris Causa). It was given for his social and transformative work. KIIT Vice-Chancellor Sarabjit Singh and Founder Achyuta Samanta were present at the ceremony.
