Telangana Police has had a big success. The Intelligence Department of Telangana Police has arrested the most wanted Maoist Deepak Rao. Police on Friday arrested the most wanted Deepak Rao from near Malaysian Township in Kukatpally, Hyderabad. Deepak is the secretary of the Western Ghats Special Regional Committee of the South Regional Bureau of CPI and a reward of Rs 25 lakh was placed on his head. Police have found many objectionable materials from him.

Giving this information, Telangana Director General of Police Anjani Kumar said that Deepak Rao visited Hyderabad twice. He again came to visit Hyderabad but was caught after receiving information from the Intelligence Bureau. Police have seized a revolver with six live cartridges, a laptop, and Rs 47,250 in cash from him.

Police said Deepak had met his college friends, a professor at Mahendra Tech University, film editor B Ajit Kumar, a resident of Madhapur, and Ranjit Shankaran, a resident of Malaysian Township. Both those whom Rao met have also been called for questioning.
