Another success of ISRO in developing propellant mixer required for making rocket motor

ISRO has again been successful. In fact, ISRO issued a statement yesterday that they have been successful in developing a 10-tonne propellant mixer. One should note that propulsion is a very important piece of equipment for ISRO's transport system and vertical mixer. With their assistance, it is easy to manufacture the solid motor of the rocket. Because of that, it is a great success in rocket operation.

ISRO said in a statement that 'Solid propellant is considered to be the backbone of the rocket motor. For the production of solid propellant, extremely sensitive elements need to be mixed in a precise manner.' ISRO said that to increase the production of the solid motor segment, Satish Dhawan Space Center, Sriharikota, in collaboration with Central Manufacturing Technology Institute, Bangalore, has successfully developed a 10-tonne vertical planetary mixer.

ISRO says that the 10-tonne vertical mixer is the world's largest solid propellant mixing device. This achievement has been achieved with the cooperation of academia and industry. After this achievement, the production of solid motors will increase and the quality of motors will also improve. ISRO said that the Department of Space has started many initiatives, under which self-reliance in the space sector will increase by developing important technology, equipment, and machines in the country itself. The development of a propellant mixer is an example of India's growing strength in the field of technology. On Thursday, a 10-tonne vertical mixer was handed over to the Director of SDSC SHAR in the presence of ISRO Chief V Narayanan and the Director of CMTI. The total weight of this mixer is 150 tonnes and the length is 5.4 meters.
