All Cases Linked to NEET Protests in Kerala Scrapped Following Rahul Gandhi's Request, Says Home Minister
The Kerala government has decided to withdraw all cases related to the NEET exam protests.
All legal proceedings initiated in Kerala in connection with the protests against the NEET exam have been scrapped, according to State Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala.
According to Ramesh, this decision was taken following the request made by Rahul Gandhi, who is the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, as well as by Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan. He further pointed out that there had been several protests in Kerala in connection with the NEET exam malpractice.
Some cases had also been filed due to these protests. There were many requests received from people for scrapping these cases. All such requests received from the Chief Minister have been forwarded to me, and I instructed the DGP not to go ahead in any case.
