Mumbai Police arrested 3 accused that brought a twist in the Baba Siddiqui murder case
Mumbai Police: Mumbai Police has arrested three more accused in the Baba Siddiqui murder case. According to the information given by the Crime Branch, so far 14 people have been arrested in this case.
The Mumbai Police arrested three more accused from Pune in the NCP leader Baba Siddiqui murder case on Wednesday. Three accused Rupesh Rajendra Mohol (22), Karan Rahul Salve (19), and Shivam Arvind Kohad (20), as per the information given by the Mumbai Crime Branch. Their involvement in the case has been proven. Based on this they are arrested. So far, in this case, a total of 14 people have been arrested.
The police officer said after the arrest that Rupesh Rajendra Mohol, Karan Rahul Salve, and Shivam Arvind Kohad were from Pune. Amit Kumar is suspected by the officer of plotting as well as executing the murder. The officer further said that some suspicious financial transactions related to him and other accused are under investigation. The Crime Branch team of Haryana arrested Kumar on Tuesday evening and brought him to Mumbai early Wednesday morning. He was kept in police custody till November 4.
Police claimed that Kumar was the crucial link between Gurmel Singh, one of the arrested shooters, and the absconding alleged mastermind Mohammad Zeeshan Akhtar. "Akhtar was the common link between shooters and the conspirators of the murder as emerged during the preliminary investigation," the officer said.
In the famous Baba Siddiqui murder case of Mumbai, the Mumbai Crime Branch team arrested another accused from Kaithal in Haryana. In this case, the arrested accused Amit alias Nathi is a resident of the village Batta of Kalayat. The case against this youth is that he gave shelter to Zeeshan Akhtar. Many criminal cases have already been registered against him.
The youth arrested has been accused of giving shelter to Zeeshan Akhtar by renting a house in Karnal during his absconding. According to the information, both of them stayed together for over 15 days two months prior to the Siddiqui murder. Days ago, the Mumbai Crime Branch team had taken the accused into custody for gathering info about Zeeshan Akhtar.
