MPs will join the fight against TB, and organize Nikshay camps before the budget session; agenda ready
Health Ministry: Under this campaign against TB by the Union Health Ministry, health teams will reach more than 1.50 lakh gram panchayats in 347 districts of 33 states and will identify the patients as well as make people aware of this infectious disease.
The Modi government has included all the MPs in the campaign to achieve the goal of TB-free India. Nikshay camps will be organized in every parliamentary constituency from January 1, which will have to be completed before the budget session in February. During this time, Nikshay's vehicle will roam in the MP's area, which will investigate suspected cases of TB on the spot.
Under this campaign against TB by the Union Health Ministry, health teams will reach more than 1.50 lakh gram panchayats in 347 districts of 33 states and will identify the patients as well as make people aware of this infectious disease. According to the ministry, every MP has to play an active role in this campaign. Moreover, support will also be sought from industries, corporations, and NGOs too to become Nishchay Mitras by adopting TB patients and their families. On the contrary, Gram Pradhan or any other Ward President will go for a campaign in between 1st and 15th January in areas along with local health teams.
The Health Ministry has informed the states that all board exams, including CBSE, are to be held between 15th February and 5th April. In such a situation, programs between 16th and 24th January should be organized to make the youth a part of the campaign so that there is no hindrance in their studies. Students of classes 8th to 12th and college students should be included in this. Apart from that, from 15th to 28th February while the budget session is ongoing in Delhi, community activities should be organized in cooperation with the Information Department in order to spread awareness of TB prevention.
