MG Gloster facelift spotted during testing may be launching in 2025 by Bharat Mobility
MG Gloster Facelift Spotted: Recently the facelift of MG Gloster has been spotted during testing on the roads of India. Many details of the exterior and interior have been seen in its testing model. It was launched in India in the year 2020. After which now it is going to get updates. It was the first vehicle to offer an ADAS feature in its segment.
Testing of MG Gloster's facelift has started on the roads of India and it has been spotted recently during testing. It can be introduced at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo to be held in the year 2025. It was first launched in India in the year 2020. It is the flagship SUV that has come recently. At the same time, it was also the first SUV to offer an ADAS feature in its segment.
The Gloster facelift version spotted during testing will have the same design as the Gloster sold in the global market. Its front has been redesigned to a great extent with a split headlamp setup. It has slim LED daytime running lamps placed on top, while the main headlamp unit is placed vertically. Its grille is larger than before which will help in increasing the road presence. Along with this, there is a new alloy wheel as well as body cladding on the side. New LED tail lamps and a new bumper are also seen at the rear.
Inside view of the Gloster facelift spied testing is also out. In its facelift avatar, several changes can be noted in the cabin of the SUV. It can be spotted with the new interior color scheme, a new dashboard, and a large infotainment screen.
The old engine option can be seen in it. A 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine and a 2.0-litre twin-turbo unit come fitted in the current model. Both these engines come fitted with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The turbo-diesel in it develops 159 bhp of power and the twin turbo engine develops 213 bhp of power. Similarly, their peak torque output stands at 370 Nm and 480 Nm.
The ex-showroom price of the new Gloster in the Indian market should start from Rs 38.80 lakh and go to Rs 43.87 lakh. In India, its competition will be with other vehicles like Skoda Kodiaq, Volkswagen Tiguan, Nissan X-Trail, Toyota Fortuner, and Hyundai Tucson.
