KTM Alerts Affected Customers via Email, Calls, and SMS for Mandatory Inspection
KTM has issued a recall for its 125, 250, 390, and 990 Duke models due to defects. Manufacturing defects have been found in certain parts of these motorcycles, which could pose a safety risk. The KTM two-wheeler firm sells motorcycles in several nations worldwide, including India. However, there have been reports of defects detected in four motorcycles sold by the motorcycle manufacturer, due to which a global recall has been announced. According to media reports, KTM has issued a global recall for four motorcycles. These motorcycles are offered in the Duke range.
Reports indicate that the motorcycles subject to the recall have been found to have defects in the fuel tank cap seals. A defective seal can crack over time, increasing the risk of fuel leakage near the tank cap.

The motorcycles for which the recall has been issued include the KTM Duke 125, 250 Duke, 390 Duke, and 990 Duke. The manufacturer has not disclosed the number of units of these motorcycles. These motorcycles were manufactured during 2024.
KTM is informing all owners of these motorcycles via email, phone, and text messages. After this, they will have to take the car to the nearest service centre, where the affected units will be checked and the units found defective will be repaired without any additional charge.
