Ireland has announced a 14-member squad for the T20 Women's World Cup European Qualifier. This qualifier will be held in the Netherlands from 20-27 August this year. Team leadership has been entrusted with 24-year-old Gaby Lewis. Gaby is currently in prime form. She was shortlisted for the 'ICC Women's Player of the Month' for July 2025. Orla Prendergast, brimming with bat and ball, will be the vice-captain of the team in the tournament at the same time.

Ireland women's cricket team will start their tournament with a game against Germany on August 20, and then their second game against the Netherlands on August 21. On August 23, Ireland will play Italy, and Germany will challenge Ireland on August 24. On August 26, Ireland will confront the Netherlands. Italy will then play Ireland on August 27. Ireland will face hosts Netherlands, Italy, and Germany in a double round robin format, with the top two teams advancing to the Global Qualifier.

The Global Qualifier for the T20 World Cup will feature ten teams. These include Bangladesh and Scotland, who have automatically qualified from the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024, while Thailand and Nepal (Asia), USA (Americas), Africa, and Europe have two teams each, and one team from the East Asia-Pacific region. After reaching the Global Qualifier, the teams will play in two groups of five each. This will be followed by the Super Six stage and the final, in which places in this prestigious ICC event will be at stake.
