India can host Commonwealth Games again after 20 years, lasted hosted in 2010
India can host the Commonwealth Games again after 20 years. India is leading the race to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games. India hosted these games in Delhi in 2010, and this time the number of countries interested in hosting the games is very less.
Now the Commonwealth Games can be organized once more in India after a lapse of 20 years. The province of Ontario, Canada, which was also a contender for hosting the 2030 Commonwealth Games, withdrew its bid, considering the cost.
The announcement was a big letdown for the 'United Canada' joint bid. Since Ontario was among the 4 states that had shown interest in hosting the joint 2030 version. With the current decision, the way now looks clear for India to host the Commonwealth Games for the second time.
The Games were hosted by India for the year 2010 in Delhi, and the number of countries desiring to host the Games this time is much lower. India, Nigeria, and Canada have submitted their bids for hosting the 2030.
