IND vs ENG: England legend told Ben Stokes about Jasprit Bumrah's bite

Michael Atherton, a former captain of England, has praised Jasprit Bumrah for his versatility and his capacity to pose problems for even the most seasoned batsmen with his lethal yorkers. Atherton's commendation follows Bumrah's sustained achievement against England's premier all-round player, Ben Stokes. The current Test series between India and England has shown to be quite challenging for Stokes because of Bumrah. Atherton has also referred to Ben Stokes as Jasprit Bumrah because of this.

Bumrah dismissed Stokes twice in four innings. Both times Stokes was out on such balls, due to which Stokes struggled to understand the pace and bounce. Atherton told Sky Cricket that it is difficult for him to select according to the speed of the ball. Stokes is a really good batsman against fast bowling. However, he has been hasty regarding Bumrah.

He has advised Stokes to choose the right length against Bumrah. India and England are strengthening their preparations for the third Test in Rajkot. Meanwhile, Atherton has highlighted the challenges posed by Bumrah's bowling ability.
