Huawei Debuts Watch GT 6 Series in India With AMOLED Displays, 21-Day Battery

The Huawei Watch GT 6 and Watch GT 6 Pro were announced last Monday in India as the latest GT series smartwatches by the Chinese tech giant. Both wearables can be purchased in the country via an e-commerce site. While the Watch GT 6 Pro comes in a single 46mm dial option, the vanilla Watch GT 6 has been made available in two different sizes. Both the 46mm variants of the Watch GT 6 Pro and Watch GT 6 come fitted with a 1.47-inch AMOLED display featuring a 466×466 pixel resolution.

The Huawei GT 6 Pro is priced in India at ₹28,999 - this price is for the 46mm Black and Brown color options. The 46mm Titanium option will cost ₹39,999. On the other hand, the Huawei Watch GT 6 price starts at ₹21,999 for the 41mm Black, White, Purple, and Brown color variants, and the Gold variant is priced at ₹24,999. The 46mm model is available in Green, Gray, and Black shades for ₹21,999. Both the Huawei Watch GT 6 and Watch GT 6 Pro are available on Flipkart and the RTC India website.

The Huawei Watch GT 6 Pro and Watch GT 6 are compatible with phones running Android 9 or above and iOS 13 or above. Both feature a 1.47-inch AMOLED display with 317ppi pixel density and a 466×466 resolution. However, the 41mm model of the Watch GT 6 features a smaller 1.32-inch AMOLED display with a 466×466 resolution and a 352ppi pixel density. The Pro model offers a peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits.

The Huawei Watch GT 6 Pro features a titanium alloy case, while the Watch GT 6 features a stainless case. The Watch GT 6 Pro features an accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, optical heart rate sensor, barometer, temperature sensor, ambient light sensor, ECG sensor, and depth sensor. The regular Watch GT 6 lacks ECG and depth sensors. Both wearables come with a 5ATM + IP69 rating, which provides protection against dust and water.

For connectivity, the Watch GT 6 Pro and Watch GT 6 feature Huawei's Sunflower GPS, NFC, Bluetooth 6, Wi-Fi, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, OZSS, and NavIC support. The company claims that the smartwatches will offer a maximum battery life of 21 days. This includes up to 12 days with 'typical use', up to seven days with the Always On Display enabled, and up to 40 hours in outdoor sports mode. However, the 41mm Watch GT 6 will offer a maximum battery life of 14 days.
