Home Ministry launches new weapon 'Pratibimb' to prevent cyber fraud

Many measures are being implemented to stop the ever-increasing cybercrime in the country. In such a situation, the Union Home Ministry (MHA) has introduced a new weapon to crack down on cybercriminals. The Cyber Crime Coordination Center of MHA has designed and launched this software to help the state police and agencies. According to officials, this software will track cybercriminals in real time and destroy their networks.

Officials have said that Prakhand will display the mobile numbers used by cyber criminals from across the country on the Geographic Information System or GIS. According to officials, this software will provide the real location information of real numbers of cyber criminals to the service providers and agencies on the map.

Twelve cybercriminal hotspots discovered by Prakharpan software have also been ordered to be addressed by MHA. According to a senior officer, some of the criminals who have been under surveillance have been observed to change their location since the introduction of the Prakharpan software. It was getting harder to find cybercriminals all the time in such a scenario.

According to the official, Jharkhand and Haryana have been targeted to continuously catch cybercriminals. Haryana Police had launched the biggest campaign against cyber criminals. During this period, about 42 criminals were arrested. Most of the arrested criminals were involved in cybercrime incidents at the national level. Police have also recovered 50 phones, fake Aadhaar cards, 90 SIMs, cash and ATM cards from them.
