Euro NCAP Crash Test Results Highlight Hyundai Nexo’s Strong Safety
The Hyundai Nexo SUV was crash tested by Euro NCAP, receiving a 5-star rating. It scored 90% for adult occupant protection and 85% for child occupant protection. It scored 14.3 points in the frontal impact test, 15 points in the lateral impact test, and 4 points in the rear impact test. It scored 42 out of 49 for child occupant protection.
Hyundai, one of the country's leading automakers, sells vehicles in various segments. Safety information is gathered on many of the company’s cars by the crash testing. Recently, the Hyundai Nexo was crash tested by Euro NCAP.
The Hyundai Nexo is a hydrogen fuel cell electric sports utility vehicle that is available for sale in several countries from Hyundai. The latest crash test results of this vehicle from the car manufacturer have just been released.
The safety performance of the SUV recorded a perfect five-point safety rating in the crash tests. This included 90 percent in adult occupant safety and 85 percent in child occupant safety.

In the Euro NCAP crash test examination, the sport utility vehicle received 14.3 points in the frontal impact test, 15 points in the lateral impact test, and four points in the rear impact test, resulting in a total of 36.3 out of 40 points.
The same test provides information on how safe this vehicle is for children. According to the information, it scored 24 points in the frontal and lateral impact tests, six points for safety features, and 12 points for CRS installation. Consequently, the SUV received 42 points out of 49 for child safety.
Hyundai doesn't currently offer this SUV for sale in the Indian market, but it's expected to be introduced in 2026.
