LPU Enables Over 850 Students to Secure Global Academic Opportunities Across 80+ Countries

To ease financial barriers, students were awarded a cumulative ₹10.23 crore in international scholarships. These funds were instrumental in facilitating student mobility and supporting their global academic pursuits.

Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Founder Chancellor of LPU, emphasized that the university’s internationalization strategy stems from a vision of providing meaningful and sustainable global opportunities. “Our goal is to integrate international exposure into mainstream education. Through continuous investment in strategic partnerships and academic mobility, we ensure our students are globally competitive,” he stated.

The university’s Division of International Affairs plays a pivotal role by guiding students through the application process and helping them identify programs that align with their academic and professional aspirations. This support structure bridges a common gap faced by many students seeking to study abroad without adequate mentorship.

LPU’s faculty ecosystem also supports this international momentum. The university hosts over 200 faculty members from 50+ countries and over 1,000 visiting members from the global academic community. This diversity fosters an inclusive, cross-cultural academic environment.

In research, LPU has taken strides in establishing collaborative doctoral programs with universities in countries like the UK, Malaysia, Australia, and Russia. This co-supervision model enhances the depth and global relevance of its research output.

Dr. Aman Mittal, Vice President of LPU, highlighted the flexibility offered by LPU’s credit transfer program, allowing students to begin their studies in India and later continue at prestigious international institutions. “This model is ideal for students facing visa delays or uncertainties, ensuring their academic progression remains uninterrupted,” he noted.

In addition to outbound programs, LPU continues to attract international students. Over 500 students from countries including France, Indonesia, Russia, and the United States have enrolled in academic exchanges and short-term programs, enhancing the university’s position as a two-way hub for international education.

Further solidifying its global presence, LPU has secured €3 million in Erasmus funding. This will bolster joint research, curriculum development, and faculty-student mobility across European partner institutions.
