Former RCB captain and South African player Faf du Plessis was bought by Delhi Capitals at a base price of Rs 2 crore on the second day of the IPL 2025 auction. Former Bangalore captain Faf du Plessis has got a new team. RCB did not use RTM.
The other notable buy-in set 13 of capped batsmen was West Indies batsman Rovman Powell, who was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for the base price of Rs 1.5 crore. Powell became the first buy of the day after New Zealand batsmen Kane Williamson and Glenn Phillips remained unsold.
Apart from him, other players, who do not get sold in the opening lot on Monday, are Ajinkya Rahane, Prithvi Shaw, and Mayank Agarwal. Another young Indian batsman Prithvi Shaw also remains unsold in the bidding process. His base price was Rs 75 lakh.
