For the Lok Sabha elections, all political parties are putting forth effort. In the meantime, Congress declared on Saturday that April 5 will mark the release of their manifesto. In addition, the Congress made fun of the BJP's impromptu creation of a manifesto committee. A 27-member committee led by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, which includes numerous Union Ministers and Chief Ministers, was announced by the BJP on Saturday to draft the manifesto.

Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh said on Saturday that we released our 'Five Justices' and 'Twenty-Five Guarantees' on March 16. We will launch the 'Ghar Ghar Guarantee' campaign on April 3 to distribute eight crore guarantee cards across the country. The manifesto will be released on April 5. He said that the Congress manifesto has been prepared after nationwide discussions. We have also included in our manifesto thousands of suggestions which have been sent to us through email and the 'Awaaz Bharat Ki' website. The Congress manifesto reflects the voice of the people.

Apart from this, Ramesh took a dig at BJP saying that BJP's manifesto is just a process of ticking the boxes. This proves how the party is disregarding the public. This proves how the BJP is ignoring the expectations of the people. BJP is trying to harass Congress by sending Income Tax notices, but Congress is neither afraid nor slowing down. We are ready, we will win.

Apart from Rajnath, the committee includes Nirmala Sitharaman, Piyush Goyal, Arjun Munda, Bhupendra Yadav, Arjunram Meghwal, Kiren Rijiju, Ashwini Vaishnav, Dharmendra Pradhan, Bhupendra Patel, Himanta Biswa Sarma, Vishnudev Sai, Mohan Yadav, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Vasundhara Raje, The names of Smriti Irani, Jual Oram, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Sushil Modi, Keshav Prasad Maurya, Rajiv Chandrashekhar, Vinod Tawde, Radhamohan Das Agarwal, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, OP Dhankhar, Anil Antony, Tariq Mansoor are included.

It is noteworthy that in the Lok Sabha elections held in 2019, BJP had formed a manifesto committee of 20 members. Then its command was handed over to the then Home Minister Rajnath Singh. This time too he has been entrusted with this responsibility. It is being said that the BJP is planning to release the manifesto in the second week of April.
