BHEL gets order of Rs 7000 crore from Adani Group company, will make equipment for power plants

Public sector company BHEL has received contracts for two power plants worth Rs 7,000 crore from the Adani Group. BHEL has said in a statement that the first order has been received from Adani Power Limited for the 2×800 MW Raipur Supercritical Thermal Power Plant being set up in the Raipur district of Chhattisgarh.

MTUPPL (an Adani Power Limited subsidiary) has placed the second order for the 2x800 MW Mirzapur Supercritical Thermal Power Plant, which will be built in Uttar Pradesh's Mirzapur area. BHEL's responsibilities for both projects include producing and supplying main plant equipment and supporting ancillary equipment, as well as supervising construction and commissioning.

The principal equipment for the projects, including steam generators, steam turbines, and generators, will be constructed at the company's Trichy and Haridwar facilities. Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), under the Ministry of Heavy Industries, is India's largest engineering and manufacturing company, with operations in energy, industry, and infrastructure.
