New Yamaha MT-15 launched with new features; Know details

No mechanical changes have been made to the engine of the bike. It still comes with the same 155cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. In which Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology is available. This engine produces 18.14 bhp of power at 10,000 rpm and 14.1 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. It comes with a 6-speed gearbox and a slip and assist clutch. The bike now also has traction control and dual-channel ABS, which makes it better in terms of safety.

Yamaha has added two new color options this time to give the bike a fresh and youthful look. Which includes colors like Ice Storm and Vivid Violet Metallic. Both these new shades will be available in the DLX version and will be sold with the already existing metallic black color. At the same time, the standard version now has a new metallic silver cyan color.

The weight of this bike is 141 kg, which gives it a good power-to-weight ratio. The MT-15 competes directly with bikes like the Bajaj Pulsar NS200, and TVS Apache RTR 200 4V.

Yamaha Motor India Chairman Itaru Otani said at the launch, "MT-15 version 2.0 has created a strong identity for itself with its aggressive styling, performance, and everyday needs. Ever since we introduced TFT display and turn-by-turn navigation in the R15M, there has been a constant demand for such technology from MT-15 users. This new update for 2025 reflects our commitment to enhancing the riding experience with youthful design and technology."
