Hybrid prototype of Yamaha MT-09 bike introduced, bike will become even more powerful

Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Yamaha has always introduced its bikes with new technologies. The company has now introduced its first hybrid motorcycle, Yamaha FZ-S Fi Hybrid, in the country. The company has now implemented its new SPHEV (Series-Parallel Hybrid Electric Vehicle) system in its second high-performance bike. It is none other than the naked street motorcycle Yamaha MT-09. The company has unveiled its prototype.

Hybrid technology has been implemented in automobiles for quite a while now, and now it's implemented in motorcycles as well. The hybrid MT-09 is designed almost like a normal Yamaha MT-09, but its mid-body is a bit thicker. The reason for this is that there is now a new motor placed in it, just above the engine. Its fuel tank contains a grill, used as a motor's cooling vent. Its headlight has been provided with a slightly different and sleeker design.

When the hybrid MT-09 stops, the bike runs in electric mode and takes power from the electric motor. At the same time, when you roll the throttle, the bike starts moving on the road while being in electric mode. When the bike reaches a certain speed, the engine starts and the bike goes into hybrid mode. When the bike runs in hybrid mode, the system will also provide a boost in the form of additional power from its electric motor.
