Citroen showcased the new Basalt Vision at the 2025 São Paulo Motor Show. Essentially, this is the same concept that previewed the Basalt SUV some time ago, but it now comes in a far sportier and more dynamic avatar. Interestingly, when Citroen showcased the Basalt for India first in March 2024, the model was still known as the Basalt Vision. And now, the company has come back with the Vision name once again.

The Basalt Vision unveiled in Brazil came in a bright amber yellow finish, instantly making it look bold. Citroen has also set its suspension lower, giving it the dynamic coupe-SUV stance and making the vehicle more planted on the road. It features VISION badges on the fenders, darkened skid plates and blacked-out chevrons, a dark tail-light connecting strip and revised fascia at the rear, aggressive bumpers and dual chrome exhaust outlets, sporty 18-inch chrome-finished alloy wheels, gloss black body cladding and door protectors, and unique decals inspired by the double-chevron motif.

Furthermore, Citroen has used its signature Rouge André Red color on the spoiler, brake calipers, and selected exterior trims, further enhancing its sporty appeal.

Citroen hasn't revealed the Vision Concept's interior yet. However, the exterior design suggests the company is considering a more premium, performance-focused version of the Basalt in the future, positioned above the current production variants.

Revealing a concept after the launch of a production model isn't common automotive practice. The reason behind this showcase is to strongly re-emphasize Basalt's design roots and raise brand aspiration in the Latin American market. It's also believed to hint at future sportier variants.
