In Goa, students of a private school were taken to the mosque and made to offer namaz. Some members of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) filed a complaint against the principal of the school located in Vasco City. After this, the Principal was suspended. The organization said in its complaint that some Class 11 students were taken to the mosque for a workshop and performed religious rituals, an official said. Claimed that the said workshop was organized at the invitation of an organization associated with the banned organization Popular Front of India. A senior official of the state education department said that they have sought clarification from the school management regarding the incident that took place last Saturday.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will attend the Hyderabad 'Liberation Day' celebrations on September 17. Union Minister G Kishan Reddy said on Tuesday that the event will be organized by the Center at the Parade Ground. The erstwhile princely state of Hyderabad merged with the Union of India on September 17, 1948.
