Before T20 World Cup 2024, Mohammed Shami gave a big update, wrote, 'The path may be difficult but not the destination'
Mohammed Shami Update: Mohammed Shami gave the good news to Indian cricket fans on Monday and he also gave an update about the recovery of his injury.
The fast bowler of the Indian cricket team is away from cricket due to injury. Hardly anyone can forget his performance in the ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 played in India. He changed the course of the match by taking 7 wickets in the semi-finals and won many matches before that. This year, the Indian team has to participate in the T20 World Cup 2024 and before that, Shami needs to return to the field. Shami on Sunday gave an update on his fitness recovery and told how eager he is to return.
Mohammed Shami shared a photo from his account on the social media platform Instagram, in which he is standing with the help of crutches. Shami wrote in the caption, "Hungry to get back on track and achieve success. The path may be difficult but not the destination." Shami is wearing a yellow coloured T-shirt and he is seen standing in a park. Shami, who never accepts defeat, took the field for the last time in the final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.
After the 2022 T20 World Cup semifinals, Shami hasn't even participated in a T20 match. But the team needs someone like him in the bowl. For India, Shami has so far participated in 64 Tests, 101 ODIs, and 23 T20 matches. He has claimed 24 wickets in T20, 195 in ODI, and 229 in Test cricket. In 110 IPL games thus far, he has also claimed 127 wickets. Although he is not playing for the Gujarat Titans this season, he is a member of the team this time around.
