Italian two-wheeler sports bike company Ducati has introduced its new 2025 Panigale V2 and V2 S in India. Both models are flagship models in the firm's mid-weight V-twin family. The new Ducati Panigale V2 costs around ₹19 lakh (ex-showroom), while the V2 S top-end model costs around ₹21 lakh (ex-showroom).

Ducati says the new Panigale V2 is the first full rethinking of a supersport model for the company. The 2025 bike wears a new 890cc V-twin engine along with various cosmetic and feature changes. Its styling takes its cue from the Panigale V4 but has been adapted for a more compact powerplant. The new styling imparts a more balanced and dynamic look to the motorcycle.

The dual LED headlamp setup at the front looks sharper than before. The aero lines and muscular fuel tank make it quite sporty. At the rear, new LED taillamps and an underseat 2-1-2 exhaust give it an even more aggressive appearance.

Changes have been made to the seat, tank, and footpeg positioning to further improve the riding position. Additionally, the side fairing features new air ducts that help dissipate heat by delivering cool air to the rider's legs.

The new Panigale V2 now features a 5-inch TFT display with three themes. This display allows the rider to control various electronic features of the bike in real-time, including 3-level Race Cornering ABS, 8-level Traction Control, Wheelie Control, and Engine Brake Control. The bike also features four riding modes (Race, Sport, Road, and Wet) and three power modes: High, Medium, and Low.

The 2025 Panigale V2 features a new 890cc liquid-cooled 90-degree V-twin engine, paired to a 6-speed gearbox and standard Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) 2.0 system. This engine produces 120 bhp and 93.3 Nm of torque. Interestingly, this engine is approximately 17 kg lighter than the previous model, improving the bike's riding performance and balance.

The new bike features a 4 kg cast aluminum monocoque frame that uses the engine as a structural component. The V2 variant features 43 mm Marzocchi USD front forks and a Kayaba monoshock, while the V2 S variant features premium Ohlins suspension.

The new Panigale V2 now comes with a double-sided swingarm, which improves cornering stability and balance. It features 17-inch Y-spoke aluminum wheels shod with Pirelli Diablo Ross IV tires. Braking is handled by Brembo M50 calipers with 320 mm dual discs at the front and a 245 mm disc at the rear.

The new Ducati Panigale V2 and V2 S are not only light and agile, but also offer a powerful blend of Ducati's legacy design language and modern technology. In India, it will have to compete with bikes like Yamaha R1, Suzuki GSX-R750 and Aprilia RS 660 in the high-performance supersport segment.
